Our Staff

Nancy Proyect, President

Nancy has served as the president of the Orange County Citizens Foundation since 2006, prior to which time she served as its Communications Director. Under Nancy’s tenure, the Foundation has increased outreach and programming, begun publishing Quality of Life Report Cards, and introduced its Placemaking program, along with a number of other new community initiatives.

Before joining the Citizens Foundation, Nancy owned a public relations consulting firm serving the nonprofit, government, and private sectors. Nancy has also worked for the Orange County Partnership, Prentice Hall Publishing, Market News International, and the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Nancy is active in several community organizations, including Leadership Orange, the Orange County Arts Council, Cornwall Community Cooperative, Temple Beth Jacob, SUNY New Paltz CRREO, and RE-Think Local.

 

Bonnie Neucall, Executive Assistant

A lifelong resident of Orange County, Bonnie began working at the Citizens Foundation in January of 2006. She is responsible for all of the Foundation’s daily operations, including administration, finances, membership, and facilities.

Bonnie is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Orange and serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Hudson Valley Honor Flight. She can also be found staffing the registration tables at many non-profit events throughout the county.

Bonnie lives in New Windsor and is the proud mother of two adult children.

 

Christa Orsino, Development Director 

Christa Orsino is the Director of Development at the Citizens Foundation. She brings extensive development experience in both the non-profit and private sectors, including healthcare, patient advocacy, and social justice.

After a long hiatus, Christa returned to her hometown in Orange County and is excited to support the mission of the Citizens Foundation to maintain and improve quality-of-life for our community.

Christa is an active member of the Mid-Hudson Valley chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a life coach specializing in health and wellness.

 

Jacqueline Masterson, Program & Marketing Associate 

Jacqueline Masterson is the Program & Marketing Associate at the Citizens Foundation.  After graduating from SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Psychology, Jacqueline joined the team as an intern and has been with the Citizens Foundation ever since.  She is committed to the mission of improving quality-of-life in our community, and is especially passionate about Placemaking initiatives, believing one of the best ways to bring people together is to have them invested in their communities.  
 
Jacqueline volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and Campus Ambassadors during college. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading and spending time with her four dogs.
